Job Description: VP of Marketing
Reports to: President
Direct reports: Director of Communications, Director of Sales and Marketing

Position Summary: This position is a member of the Senior Management Team with direct supervision/responsibility for organizational marketing, branding, sales, program, and product promotion. Coordinate and execute association marketing efforts related to programs, products, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

•Direct centralized marketing, promotion, and branding in support of all MEA business lines and activities.
•Direct traditional marketing and social media marketing plans.
•Create and maintain all association related marketing plans for programs, membership, products, and services
•Provide marketing support and guidance to technical product specific committees
•Develop and manage financial responsibilities, including budgets, product sales, related assumptions, monthly review of estimates and cost benefit analysis.
•Provide strong organizational skills in order to manage multiple overlapping marketing, branding, and promotion strategy activities of the association
•Attend and support on site staff during tradeshows, conferences, seminars and association events
•Supervise and develop direct reports.
•Responsible for creating, maintaining sales activities related to all MEA business lines and activities.
•Attend industry meetings events and educational programs as MEA’s industry representative.
•Collect and analyze marketing and sales data
•Conduct research through surveys and cooperative sharing of data within the industry.
•Demonstrates and documents ROI on marketing efforts
•Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields
•5 to 7 years of association marketing and or sales experience
•Ability to use office technology (telephones, computer, smartphone, copier, fax) at an intermediate level of competency
•Strong verbal and written communications, including public speaking
•Periodic multi-day travel overnight via airplane within North America
•Demonstrated success in developing and implementing marketing initiatives
•Excellent people management and leadership skills
•Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work in fast paced team environment
